EventHost

Terms of Service

Last updated: 18 June 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and EventHost, the host dashboard for running gaming-community tournaments and broadcasting them to Discord. By creating an account or using EventHost, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Who we are

The provider of the service and how to reach us.

EventHost is operated from the Netherlands by its founder. A registered company (KVK and VAT) is being set up; once complete, the registered details will be added here and kept consistent with the data-controller details in our Privacy Policy. You can reach us at info@eventhost.gg.

2. The service — and what it deliberately isn't

What EventHost does, and the line it does not cross.

EventHost helps you organise tournaments: formats and brackets, leaderboards, participant management, a public sign-up page, and broadcasting updates to Discord. We provide the software; you run your event.

The prize pot and donations are an honor system. EventHost never processes, holds, or transfers money, and never takes a cut of any pot. The amounts shown are figures you and your community agree to track — any real-world payment happens directly between hosts and players, outside EventHost. We are not a payment provider, escrow, or bank, and we are not responsible for whether a pot is collected or paid out, or for any dispute about it.

3. Accounts and eligibility

Signing in, keeping your account secure, age.

You need an account to host. You can sign in with Discord or Google, or with an email and password. You must be at least 16 to create an account. Keep your login secure and don't share it; you are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Players can join an event from a link without an account.

As a host you can invite co-hosts to help run an event. Co-hosts can manage that event on your behalf, so only invite people you trust. You remain responsible for your event and for how it is run.

4. Acceptable use

What you may not do with EventHost.

You agree not to use EventHost to:

  • • break the law, or organise or promote anything illegal;
  • • harass, threaten, defraud, or impersonate anyone, or collect money under false pretenses;
  • • post content that is hateful, abusive, or infringes someone else's rights;
  • • scrape, overload, probe, or try to break or circumvent the service or its security;
  • • break Discord's, Google's, or our other providers' terms while using EventHost.

We may remove content or suspend access that breaches these rules, and you are responsible for what you and your participants do on your events.

5. Your content

Ownership, and the licence you grant us to run the service.

You keep ownership of the events, names, images, and copy you create or upload. To run the service, you grant EventHost a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display that content as needed — including showing it on your public sign-up page and delivering the updates you choose to broadcast to your Discord server. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for copies we must keep briefly in backups or to meet a legal obligation. You confirm you have the rights to the content you upload.

6. Third-party services

The platforms EventHost connects to.

EventHost integrates with Discord and Google for sign-in and with Discord for broadcasting, and runs on Vercel and Supabase. Your use of those platforms is also governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, changes, or outages. The same providers act as our processors — see the Privacy Policy.

7. Plans and payment

Free and paid tiers, if and when they apply.

EventHost is free to use during the beta. The plans shown in the app (Free, Pro, Community) and their prices are indicative of where we're heading; paid billing is not live yet, so you are not charged and you can switch plans freely. If and when paid billing starts, we'll set out the billing, renewal, and refund terms clearly and ask you to agree before any charge. Note that plan pricing is for the EventHost software only — it is never a fee on your prize pot, which we never touch.

8. Termination

Ending your use of EventHost, by you or by us.

You can stop using EventHost at any time, and delete your account from Settings → Danger zone, which permanently removes your profile and the events you own. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or puts the service or others at risk; where reasonable we will give you notice and a chance to put things right. What happens to your data on termination is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The limits of our responsibility.

EventHost is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We work to keep it reliable but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, EventHost is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost data or profits, or for anything arising from the honor-system pot or from disputes between hosts and participants. None of these terms limit liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes and governing law

How these terms change, and which law applies.

We may update these terms as the service evolves; the date at the top reflects the current version, and we'll flag material changes in the app. Continuing to use EventHost after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by Dutch law, and any dispute will be brought before the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to a different forum.
